| “The Community Bobby” has been hand-crafted by the talented craftsmen and women at Steiff using skills perfected over the past 120 years. His gorgeous golden-brown fur is made from the softest mohair and his nose and mouth have been painstakingly stitched by hand to create a cheerful, friendly expression. The same love and care has gone into creating his smart uniform too. His tunic jacket is secured with four gleaming silver-coloured buttons and finished with a smart faux leather belt. His collar proudly displays his official police number – 1902 – honouring the year that Richard Steiff invented the very first teddy bear.
